family into revealing the whereabouts of George W. The family had a miserable time during the war.
We do not have much information about the George W. Deaver family. The neighbors called his wife, Grandma, and no one remembers her real name. George W. had a son, Reuben, and another son, George W. Jr. There was also a daughter but we do not have her name.
Reuben, the son of George W. Sr., married Lydia Heady at Newton, Illinois, in October, 1883. They moved to Clemons, Iowa, immediately after the marriage. In 1898, they moved to Zearing, Iowa.
Reuben and Lydia were the parents of four sons. They were William T., George W. III, David K., and Reuben Wiley.
Reuben died on March 12, 1917. Lydia died on February 17, 1933.
