Myrtle. The family moved to South Dakota in the 1880's. The son, John, stayed in Lincoln township. He bought the family farm and made his permanent home in our community. Later Neal returned to Zearing. He established a home here.

The Campbell family moved to Caldwell, Idaho, from South Dakota in December of 1900. Duncan died in Idaho on January 21, 1903. Mary died on January 25, 1903. According to their descendants a double funeral service was held. Duncan and Mary are buried in the Canyon Hill Cemetery at Caldwell. The two children living in 1954 are Eldora Campbell Royce and Myrtle Campbell Hultz.

Carmody :

The name Carmody belongs in the early history of our community. The direct descendants living in our community in 1955 have other names. They were girls who are listed under their married names in 1955.

Charles Carmody was born in Sunbury, Pennsylvania, on April 1, 1865. Margaret Maroney was born on March 25, 1861, in England. Charles and Margaret were married on February 12, 1890, at Nevada, Iowa.

Charles came to Sherman township, Story county, Iowa, with his parents from Forreston, Illinois, in April, 1883. Charles and Margaret were the parents of four children. They were John P., Patrick J., Delia H., and Mary K.

Charles died on June 9, 1921. Margaret died on March 19, 1933.

Stephen Carmody was born in Illinois on January 15, 1872. Stephen married Catherine Barr at Nevada, Iowa, on February 21, 1900.

Stephen and Catherine were the parents of a daughter, Pauline. Stephen died on June 21, 1933. Catherine died on August 7, 1953.

CARVER:

The Carver family was a prominent family in our community in 1878. The family is a prominent family in our community in 1956.

James Carver was born in Miami county, Ohio, on March 9, 1842. James married Fannie Bausor on November 18, 1875, in Will county, Illinois. They moved to our community in 1878. In 1892, they moved to Red Lake Falls, Minnesota.

James and Fannie were the parents of five children. They were Sophia, Thomas, Winnie, Jessie, and Vina. Winnie established his permanent home in our community.
