Albert and Mary were the parents of eight children. They were Leo, Ruby, Earl, Sepha, Ray, Amy, Ruth, and Robert.

Albert died on April 20, 1922. Mary died in 1945.

BLAYNEY :

The Blayney family was one of the leading families in the Illinois Grove neighborhood for many years. Members of the family came into our community in later years.

Henry Blayney was born in County Tyrone, Ireland, on May 17, 1862. He came to the United States with his parents on March 24, 1882. Anna Evans was born at Wellington, Illinois, in 1876. Henry and Anna were married at Wellington, Illinois, on June 25, 1896.

Henry and Anna were the parents of ten children. They were Thomas, Harry, Margaret, Ilo, Elizabeth, John, Ambrose, Mae, Evelyn, and Esther.

Henry died on February 26, 1932. Anna is living in our community in 1956.

Borchert :

The Borchert family came to our community in 1880 from Germany. They lived in this community for three years and then moved to Iola, Kansas.

Frederick Borchert was born near Berlin, Germany, on September 9, 1872. He came to our community in 1880 with his parents, John H. and Ernestina, and his sister, Tillie. The family moved to Kansas three years after their arrival. Years later Frederick returned to our community. Tillie will be remembered by residents of our community as the wife of Frank Cerka.

Frederick married Lena Ott on January 18, 1895. Frederick and Lena were the parents of two children. They were Adolph and Etta Borchert Rahfeldt.

Frederick died on December 31, 1936. Lena is living at Nevada, Iowa, in 1956.

BOWMAN :

William A. Bowman came to Zearing after its founding in 1881. He owned a furniture store in the new town. The store was used for Sunday School before the first church building was completed.

William's brother was prominent in Pennsylvania as the editor of a leading church publication.

William A. Bowman came to Iowa from Pennsylvania. His wife, Anne Bare, was from Pennsylvania.

William and Anne were the parents of eight children. They were Emma, Lizzie, Elnora, Myrtle, George, Ira, Joseph, and
