Mr. and Mrs. Michaelson were the parents of four children, S. J. and M. J. Michaelson, Mrs. G. S. Mason and Mrs. E. F. Bell.
Nels Nelson came from Sweden with his father in 1865. He married Anna Rorvig, native of Norway. Their children were Carrie, Sam, Celia, and John. Celia, sole survivor, resides at the family farm
Martin Nerem came from Olen, Norway, and his wife, Assa Wicks, came to the United States from Bergen, Norway. They lived most of their lives in and near Roland. Mr. and Mrs. Nerem had seven daughters and two sons, Susan (Mrs. Jacob Hill), Clara (Mrs. George Cole), Ada (Mrs. Pete Millang), Tena (Mrs. Nels Millang), Julia (Mrs. Gust Hanson), Nettie (Mrs. Henry Durby), Minelva (Mrs. Arthur Lura), Gerhard and Ingomore.
