HENRY F. Wilson

Henry F. Wilson was born in 1848 and came to Story County from Norway in 1868 with his parents, one brother and two sisters. He married Anna Ostrem who was born in 1852. They were the parents of six children.

JOHN EVENSON

John Evenson, born in Lura, Sandness, Norway on July 26, 1834, came to America in 1854 and settled in Chicago. He married Malene Olson, who also came from Sandness. John, his wife's brothers, Marcelius, Ole Jacob and Jeremiah Olson, and their sister, Jorene, who later married Abel Olson, came to the settlement that was to become Roland in 1858 or 1859.

John's first wife died in 1878, leaving six children, Edward, Joseph, Martin, John, Alfred, and Mary (Mrs. Carl Johnson).

On January 29, 1880, he married Bertha Marie Lura, born September 24, 1861 at Lura, Norway. They were the parents of nine children, Bertha (Mrs. Rasmus Olson Oiestad), Josephine (Mrs. William Cunningham), Harry, Clara (Mrs. Albert M. Cory), Benford, Julia (Mrs. Roy C. Lockhart), Orville, Elmira (Mrs. Andrew Alvestad), and Theresa.
