June 13, 1983. Collins-Maxwell high school girls softBall team defeated United there on Friday by 6-1 score. Winning pitcher Leslie Greer had 13 strikeouts, the most she has had in a game to date. Tonya Smith was the catcher.
July 5, 1983. Babe Ruth tournament being played at Nevada beginning July 9; Collins-Maxwell team verses Ballard Green.
July 7, 1983. The Rhodes Centennial will be held July 8th, 9th and 10th.
July 8, 1983. Nevada softBall invitational July 8th and 9th. Collins-Maxwell will play West Marshall at 4:00 p.m.
July 11, 1983. West Marshall defeated Collins-Maxwell8-0. In the losers bracket, Collins-Maxwell defeated Interstate 35 3-2. Collins-Maxwell finished in the 6th place, losing to Boone 4-2.
