Maxwell and Collins have been involved in 3 of the state's top ten scoring games this year. Collins and Maxwell combined for a 184 point game when the Clipperettes downed Maxwell 93-91.

January 14, 1974. Collins Girls Basketball. The Clipperetteswon over Colo at Colo 92-60, in the Ta-Ma-Ja Conference. Collins continued their high scoring attack shooting -- 53%.
Collins Boys Basketball: The Clipperswere defeated 60-50 when Colo rallied in the last quarter.
January 14, 1974. Junior Varsity Basketball. Collins and Mingo split a Junior Varsity double header; Mingo girls winning 51-36 and Collins boys winning 34-30. Collins girls scoring: Julie Lehman 18, Chris Dunshee 17; Cathy Schmitt was the leading rebounder - 13, Terry Hugen - 12, Chris Morrison - 6. Collins boys scoring: Randy McQuiston 12, Mike Ball 6, Jim Wright 5, Bob Huntrods 5, Matt Carver, Denny Long, Steven Lillard 2 each. Huntrods and McQuiston had 12 rebounds each and Matt Carver 8.
