Maxwell's school board members and supt. of schools were guests of the Nevada Board in the third of four School Information-Trading Sessions with neighboring schools on the future of East Story County. The discussion was quite enlightening said Supt. David Teigland (Maxwell). Nevada made it clear that the door was open as far as further talks and discussions concerning merger, but there was no commitment. Teigland said: If enrollments are projected into the future ten to fifteen years, it is apparent that East Story County must merge and Nevada seems to be the logical center for a high school for the area. If something is done, we agree that we want to be a part of it. What we must do is decide whether to push or wait. Attending from Maxwell were Supt. Teigland, Board Pres. Marold Whitmer, and board members - Linden Caple, Jack Whaley, John Rooney, and Dr. William Owen.
