December 28, 1968 Small Schools Organize to Fight State Moves The Iowa School Organization, Inc. is headed by Norris Olney, Marathon lawyer-banker. Olney has been a member of the Buena Vista County Board of Education for the past 10 years. He believes the State Board of Public Instruction is trying to eventually force Iowa into16 school districts for the entire state. Olney says the Iowa School Organization was created long before the Great Plains project. They have just used $355,000 in federal funds to complete a compilation of ideas from years ago on school reorganization. About 100 people are expected to attend conference.
