School Doings: Third, fourth, and fifth grades will go to the Shrine Circus Saturday morning, May 15, as guests of the Collins Lions Club.

Collins defeated St. Mary's of Marshalltown in the semi-final round of the Ta-Ma-Ja Conference Tournament. The finals game will be against Bondurant. Collins scored 1 run in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th innings to take a 4-1 lead into the 7th inning. St. Mary's rallied to score 3 runs to tie the game 4-all in the 7th. Collins' Steve Holland walked to open the bottom of the 7th. Jim Lehman sacrificed him to 2nd and Gary Pointer smashed a line drive to score Holland for the winning run, 5-4 victory.
