December 24, 1964 Basketball - There was much excitement displayed in the Collins gym Tuesday night. The girls game was a scoring battle between Clipperette Karen Kingman and Maxwell's Rosemary Robinson. Collins started strong and held off Maxwell's rallies to have a 30-21 halftime lead. Maxwell again rallied early in the 3rd quarter and the Collins girls regained control outscoring Maxwell 18-11 in the 4th quarter for a 57-42 victory. The Clippers had been plagued by injuries and illness during the early part of the season and had yet to gain a victory. There was teeter-totter scoring throughout the game with each team holding a lead at different times. Late in the 3rd quarter Maxwell took a 43-40 lead and carried the lead midway into the 4th quarter. The team's battled to regulation 58-58 standoff. Collins came on strong in the overtime for a 66-61 victory over Maxwell. December 31, 1964 The Homecoming Program was Dec. 18 after the Collins-Mingo games. Karen Kingman and Dennis Krausman were crowned by last year's queen - Patsy Kingman, and king - Jerry Crabb. Linda Tiffany, Karen Kingman, Janie Lehman, and Sherry Granger were the queen's court. Gary Pointer, Dennis Krausman, Fred Altes, Mike Rumbaugh were the king's court. A homecoming dance was held after the coronation ceremonies with the school Combo providing the music for the festive occasion.
Basketball - The Clipperettes are enjoying their best record in years and added a 59-47 win over Mingo. The girls started strong with 22-12 1st quarter lead and maintained a good lead throughout the game. Scoring leaders: Karen Kingman - 27 pts.; Vicki Mullihan - 24 pts. (Lineup not found)

January 14, 1965 School Calendar: Feb. 27 - PTO Carnival; Mar. 23 - End 3rd 9 weeks; Apr. 17 - Senior Class Play; May 8 - Junior-Senior Prom; 16 Baccalaureate; 21 - Commencement; 25 - Class Day and Awards.
School Doings - The adult education classes in welding are well attended and going along fine.
Mrs. Hope Robinson will replace Mrs. Marjorie Heintz as the 5th grade teacher due to ill health.
The Basic Skills tests will be given next week to grades 3 through 8th on Tues. through Fri.
Basketball - The Collins Clipperettes cashed in on their 7th victory in ten games Jan. 5. Collins took a 19-14 1st quarter lead, 39-25 halftime lead, and matched Maxwell's scoring the 2nd half for a 63-49 victory. January 21, 1965 Basketball - The girls chalked up a 62-52 victory over Bondurant. Coach Brooks lauded the teamwork displayed in both offense and defense in Tuesday's game.
