Baseball - Collins boys came out on top of a pitchers dual,1-0 over Mingo on the home diamond. The only run of the game was in the 3rd inning, Chittenden walked leading off the inning, Hale struck out, Jerry Crabb forced Chittenden at 2nd, Gary Pointer singled, Altes was safe on an error, loading the bases, John Crabb was walked, bringing in brother Jerry Crabb for the games only run. Gary Pointer and Jerry Crabb pitched: Innings - 7, hits - 3, runs - 0, strikeouts - 13, walks - 4. Collins team had hits - 3, strikeouts - 9, fielding errors - 3.
April 30, 1964 Track Boys scored 10 points in the Ta-Ja-Ma conference relays. Placings are: Discus - Fred Altes - 5th, High jump - Mike Rumbaugh - 4th, Broad jump - Denny Krausman - 5th, 100 Yard dash - Fred Altes - 3rd (tie), Mile run - Harold Laughlin - 5th, Mile medley relay - 4th (Lehman, Altes, D. Krausman, Stratton).
May 5, 1964 Boys Sectional Baseball Tournament at Roland. First round - Collins defeated Roland 5-2 on their home field. Collins scored 1 run in the 2nd, 2 in the 3rd, 1 in the 6th and 1 in the 7th. Gary Pointer pitched: Innings - 7, hits - 3, runs - 2, strikeouts - 11, walks - 5. Pointer also tripled and singled. Jim Hale caught. Collins team hits - 7. (Lineup not found)

May 8, 1964 Baseball - Collins could score only one run, 7th inning, losing to Bondurant-Farrar 2-1 on the home diamond. Bondurant-Farrar scored 2 runs without a hit in the 2nd inning with walks, stolen bases, wild pitches and past balls by the Collins team. Gary Pointer pitched: Innings - 7, hits - 2, runs - 2, strikeouts - 12, walks - 6. Collins team hits - 5, fielding errors - 3.
Bowling - Collins high school boys just completed a season in bowling with 6 teams, with 5 members on each team. Two teams tied for the top with 4 wins, 1 loss.
May 11, 1964 Baccalaureate Services were held at the Christian Church with Rev. Wm. Hill the speaker. The processional was by Mary Rice-Christie Atwood. Invocation - Rev. F. A. Richardson; Music - "Bless Ye the Lord" - Girls Glee Club; Scripture - Rev. James Louk; Music "Becoming a Person" by Mixed Quartette, and "Prayer Perfect" by Girls Sextet. Benediction - Rev. Richardson.
