November 17, 1960 High School News - A brief program held last Friday on Armistice Day. The band played "Washington Post" and Mr. Hess presented an interesting talk on the meaning of Armistice Day. The high school was presented a new 50-star flag, which will be placed in the auditorium/gym. The program concluded with the band playing the "Star Spangled Banner" with the students singing along. Since our girls and boys basketball teams have started the season in such fine style, we are hoping the school spirit will be pepped up. Monday was certainly an exciting day for the juniors because of their class rings arriving.
