July 13, 1960 Replaying July 11, 1960 Sectional Tournament First Round Game of 10 innings called because of rain with 3-3 tie score. Collins came back in the bottom of the 6th inning as Danny Long received a walk, stole 2nd base, moving to 3rd on an Ames fielding error, and scoring on Jim Nichol's 2nd run scoring hit of the game, for a 2-2 tie game. Collins was within inches of winning the game in the 7th inning when Galen Smith singled with 2 out and Mort Dodd on 2nd base was thrown out in a close play at home plate.
