Cage Season Finale: The basketball season came to a close with the boys and girls tournaments completed. Although we didn't have a very good record, we all enjoyed playing in our new gym, meeting new people and just plain enjoyed the sport. No doubt, we would have enjoyed it more had we won a few more games. To succeed in sports you don't have to win all the time, but to do your best and enjoy participating and also learn how to be good sports about losing. We want to thank the following people for their cooperation throughout the season: The Legion for taking tickets at the games; the Lions Club for directing traffic during the tournaments; the music mothers for furnishing refreshments during the tournaments; the teachers for selling the tickets, the juniors for selling refreshments throughout the season; the fellows who drove buses to our away games; the scorekeepers for faithfully tallying up the figures; the cheerleaders for supporting us; Mr. and Mrs. Burnett for encouraging us although things looked black; Mr. Snyder for cleaning up after us; and last, but by no means least, our loyal spectators who stuck by us throughout the season.
