Girls Sectional Tournament will be held at Collins Feb. 10, 12, 15. Collins plays Shipley in the first round. Other tournament games are: Maxwell vs. Melbourne, and Cambridge vs. State Center. The free throw contest is Monday evening with two entries from each school.
The last regular meeting of this year's Adult Evening School will be held Tuesday, February 11 at 6:30 p.m. in the school hot lunch room. This will be a potluck supper. Bring your own table service. Coffee and rolls will be furnished.

Girls Basketball Sectional Tournament at Collins: First round - The Collins girls played a very exciting game against Shipley, winning in overtime 48-46. Georgiann Briles scored 34, Sharon Stratton 11, and Dorothy Hand 3. (Insert 2006: Complete lineup not found). Semifinals - Collins played a very close game against Melbourne, leading during the first half and the scoring was very close throughout the second half. Final score was Melbourne over Collins 35-31. Collins trailed most of the time and were 17 points behind at halftime. The girls made a strong comeback the second half, coming within four points in the last few minutes of the game. P. T. O. will have a minstrel show February 21. The program is designed for the whole family. P.T.O. will not have a carnival this year.
February 20, 1958 Music - The girls glee club, the girls sextet, and soloists are working on numbers for contests in April and May. There will be a band concert in March with the date to be set.
