May 2, 1957 Pinky's Prattle - The seniors received their annuals last week and everyone has been busy getting autographs. Last Friday was the Senior Ball at Marshalltown. Most of the boys attended, but none of the girls.
The senior class presented their annual class play to an appreciative audience last Wednesday evening in the high school auditorium. The play, "Rest Assured," directed by Mrs. Jackson, was a three-act presentation with David Maxwell playing the part of a rich man whose only concern was money. He said "No" when his daughter wanted to marry because the fianc? was poor. But after he dreamed of "passing on," he realized how well things could work out with only a little consideration on his part. When he awoke he had changed his attitude, to his family's surprise, and all ended well. Cast: David Maxwell, Jill Kilgore, Daisy Mary Maxwell, Janice Heintz, Myrtle Lester, Larry Kloppenborg, Glen Novinger, Elliott Partridge, Donna Frerichs, David Fitzgerald, Norlyn Smith, Jerry Huffman, Ben Clark, Jane Ballard (sophomore). The entertainment between acts was furnished by Glen Novinger, Daisy Mary Maxwell, Elliott Partridge, and the girls sextet. The class presented Mrs. Jackson with a lovely gift in appreciation for all the time and effort she put forth.
