November 29, 1921 School Board Meeting Motion made and seconded that School Building be accepted from M. A. Floyd on his General contract completion and a warrant for $11,380.47 be drawn as final payment on same. Motion made and seconded that bill from McGrew Electric Shop for $412.11 be accepted and warrant for same be drawn for final payment.

February 16, 1920 Petition for consolidation placed on file at Story County Court House

March 25, 1920 Election for Directors for the Collins Consolidated Independent School District

April 5, 1920 School Board Meeting for organizing the Reorganized Collins Consolidated School Board

April 14, 1920 School Board approves bid for School Bonds for amount of $125,000.

May 29, 1920 Public vote on proposal for sale of $125,000 of bonds for building new school building

May 31, 1920 Bond Sale Proposal passed.

September 20, 1920 Four of the rural school buildings have been moved in and placed south of the existing 1909 school building. These four buildings were used for lower elementary grades during 1920-21 school year and September 1, 1921 through December 31, 1921.

December 16, 1920 Public Notice for bids on construction of 69 x 109 foot, 3 level school building. Project architect Thorwald Thorson of Forrest City, Iowa. January 12, 1921 School Board accepts M. A. Floyd Co. of Minneapolis, MN bid of $72,649.95 for general contract.

January 21, 1921 School Board accepts M. F. Binzhof of Marshalltown, Iowa bid of $18,998.50 for plumbing and heating and accepts McGrew Electrical Co. (address unknown) bid of $2,535.36 for electrical work.

March 1921 School building construction begins.

April 1921 through November 1921 Building construction with monthly payments to contractors based on construction work completed and acceptable to project architect. (Specific information on construction progress was not located.)

November 29, 1921 School Board accepted building and contract completion of M. A. Floyd, general contractor. Final payment = $11,380.47. Also accept completion of McGrew Electrical, electrical work contract. Final payment = $412.11. The new building construction completed enabled the Junior High (7th and 8th) and High School to move into the new building and begin classes January 2, 1922.
