Finals - Collins lost another game to their nemeses, Roland, 60-48. Roland jumped to an early lead in the first quarter by hitting 85% of their shots and increased the lead to 39-20 at halftime with 64% shooting. Coach, Buck Cheadle of Roland, pulled an offensive switcheroo in the first quarter, moving guard Gary Thompson to center position on offense. His quick clever moves after receiving a swift accurate pass from playmaker guard, Don Holland, hit five baskets for ten points in the first quarter. The second half Collins played a higher quality game and Roland's shooting cooled off. The Clippers outscored the Rockets 28-21 the last half. Roland began stalling in the latter part of the fourth quarter, taking the ball out of bounds to retain possession.Gary Thompson led Roland's scoring with 26 points. Phil Holland played a very strong quality game, scoring 22 points with Roland's defense primarily focused on controlling Phil H.
