The boys made a grand opening of the basketball season by defeating Milford 46-37. Holland was high point man with 29. The Adult Evening School will have their first meeting on November 13. There are three classes: Adult Farmer class will have a diversified program covering the farm enterprise, class conducted by Mr. Maddox, Voc. Ag. teacher; Adult ladies class will take up domestic problems, Mrs. Riddle Home Ec. teacher will conduct class; Singing to be taught by Mrs. Lewis, high school music teacher. You are urged to attend.

November 16, 1950 The schools of Story County have been asked to give the pupils an opportunity to contribute to C. R. O. P. (Christian Rural Overseas Program).C. R. O. P. is an organization that offers an opportunity for contribution to needy families in Europe.

The Music Department is planning another musical for December 6. This will be Family Night: That is, two or more members in the same family may present a musical number and compete for a prize. Mr. Ellsworth of KSO plans to be making recordings for us again.

Broadcast - We were overjoyed to hear last Saturday that Miss Jane Joslin was announced as the winner for Collins. We now have won three firsts in the KSO contest. We hope you are listening each Saturday morning at 8:30 and casting your vote. Saturday, November 18, Rosiva Cannon will be broadcasting her clarinet solo and the 7th and 8th grade boys will sing "MacNamara's Band."

The Advanced Home Ec girls ended their cooking this week by preparing meal. They were divided into groups of five. We went downtown and did the shopping and then prepared the meals. Everyone was pretty well satisfied with the meals.

Basketball - The girls won their second game of the season over Rhodes 55-28. High scorers for the locals were Bonnie Long with 17, Barbara Kimberley with 15 points, and Virginia Mead 12 points.

The boys won their second game of the season over Rhodes with a score of 55-35 at Rhodes. Leading scorers were Phil Holland 17, Erwin Frerichs 10, and Kenny Carroll 9 points.
