Baseball team had record scoring win over Colfax collecting 22 hits for 20-6 win. Team scored 10 runs in the top of the 7th inning. Duesbury pitched five scoreless innings, Buck and McBride pitched final two innings.

In the semifinals of the sectional baseball tournament at Collins Phil Holland turned the trick of pitching a no-hit, no run game, defeating Farrar 12-0. Leading 2-0 at the end of 3 innings, Collins scored four runs in 4th, one in 5th and five more in 6th inning for a 12-run margin. The baseball team won the sectional tournament championship at Collins by giving favored State Center a decisive 8-1 trouncing. State Center had previously decisively defeated Collins twice. Duesbury pitched for Collins; runs - 1, hits - 2, strikeouts - 5, walks - 2. Team fielding was superior with only one error. Collins collected 7 hits off of Hartwig, State Center pitcher.
