August 19, 1943 School textbook rental: For several years the Collins school has used the rental plan of providing pupils with textbooks. This plan has worked quite successfully and will be continued during the coming school year. The rental fees for high school pupils depend entirely upon the courses selected. The total rental fees for textbooks and costs of workbooks for elementary grade pupils are: Primary - $1.21; first - $1.58; second - $2.14; third - $2.28; fourth - $2.72; fifth - $2.86; sixth - $3.00; seventh - $2.39; eighth - $2.32. In order to save time and avoid confusion on the opening day of school, parents of elementary school pupils are asked to pay book rentals at the superintendent's office between 1:00 and 5:00 P.M. on August 25 or 26.
