Basketball Girls' and Boys' Banquet A delicious supper was served to the basketball boys and girls by their mothers in the Home Ec. Room of the school building. Talks were given by the senior boys and girls, Miss Schilder, Mr. Young and Dick. Toppy Lillard, Captain of the boys' team presented Dick with a gift in appreciation of his work with them. A dance was held in the study hall before and after the supper.
April 8, 1943 Baseball is opening soon. In the last couple of years we have had successful seasons. Last year we won a spring (42)sectional trophy and a fall (41) sectional trophy. Most of our team graduated last year, but we believe we can do as well this year.

April 22, 1943 The high school operetta "Sun Bonnet Girl" was very well presented to an appreciative audience Friday night. The stage was set in a beautiful spring scene with realistic flowers growing everywhere. Much talent was uncovered in our classmates and we should be proud of all who participated. Mrs. Ratcliffe also deserves much credit for the work she did in making this operetta a success.
Collins defeated Maxwell 15-7. Bill Atwood did an outstanding job of pitching the first four innings and LaVerne Lillard finished the game. Dale Deal was the catcher. (No box scores found)
April 29, 1943 With some nice pitching by Gene Fertig, Collins won their second game of the season 12-9 over Maxwell. In the third game of the season, Bill Atwood pitched another fine game with Collins defeating Rhodes 6-3. Deal was the catcher.
May 6, 1943 May 7, the senior class will present a dramatic production "Poor Dear Edgar," a comedy in three acts with a cast of five men and seven ladies. The cast is: Bob Keagle, Toppy Lillard, Gladys Dodd, John Kingman, Barbara Buck, Marguerite Oswalt, Dorothy Neale, Eileen Hofer, Ruth Mullihan, Betty Jean Lewis, Olin Pitcher, and Earl Milligan. Admission - Adults 28 cents, Students 18.
