February 16, 1939 Features of the Tournament Basketball dominated the past week with both the boys and the girls competing in the county tournaments. Neither team came out on top but both teams made a good showing. The girls lost in the finals, but they promise to win the sectional. Following the games the girls had their pictures taken, which appeared in the Nevada paper. The boys didn't get to the finals, but were beaten on the way up by the team that won the finals. The boys were playing without the services of Hansel Hanson and Wendell Coles, who were both ill. A large number of Collins supporters were present at all of the games. We'll be hoping to see you all again at the sectional tournament. The girls' sectional begins Thursday at Maxwell. Collins meets Farrar.
