April 21, 1927 Collins Trims Zearing. Collins High trimmed Zearing High in a fast game Monday afternoon by a score of 3 to 1. The boys showed old time stuff having Zearing in the hole during the entire game. The local boys showed much improvement in all positions as they only made 4 errors. But our boys managed to bunch their hits for 3 scores while Zearing’s five scattered hits netted them only one score.
Summary – lst and 2nd innings, 1-2-3 outs. 3rd inning, Mills got a three bagger scoring Sheckles and then went on an error by third baseman. 4th inning, Jones reached first by an error on Rankin and scored by a two bagger by Alva Hand. Total score 3 to 0. 5th to 8th inning – 1-2-3. East Story County League Standings: Collins, Maxwell, Milford, Zearing, each have won one and lost one.
