Gallup, 1876, '77, ' 78, '79; Col. John Scott, elected November, 1885, to fill the vacancy made by the resignation of J. D. Gillette; Col. Scott, Lieutenant Governor of Iowa from 1867 to the close of 1869 (two years); was elected Oct. 8, 1867; term expired with 1869.

QUESTIONS SUBMITTED TO THE VOTE OF THE
PEOPLE.
A number of propositions for donations of lands, moneys or bonds, amendments to the constitution of the State, as well as other propositions, have from time to time been submitted to the vote of the people of the county.
First in order will be given an election to determine whether or not Story County should offer $10,000 in bonds as a donation for the location of the "State Agricultural Farm" in the County. The
