This inaugural conference of the IAGenWeb county coordinators was a great success - bringing together several county coordinators, allowing us to put names to faces and making an already great collaboration even more close-knit.

In addition to providing a social venue, the conference allowed us to learn from each other. We were treated to a preview of new features for the Gravestone project and educated on better ways to serve those people who use our web sites. We discussed ways to better use the collaborative tools we have at our disposal. Most importantly, we were able to ask questions to problems that may have been frustrating us and get answers on the spot.

We agreed that we should have another conference next year. It will be held sometime in late June on the campus of Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa. Keep an eye on the message boards and the forums for more information.
