NEVER TOOK A VACATION

In 43 years, Corey Reynolds never took a vacation. He thought the Rock Island could not run without him, for he was night yardman, ticket agent, and everything. But one night he slipped off the top of a frosty box car and sustained injuries which necessitated his retirement.

The truth of it is, the Rock Island is still running and Corey and his wife, Myrtle, spent the past winter in Florida where they did some fishing in the gulf, instead of the Wapsinonoc creek.
