GROCERY SITE The building now occupied by W. W. Anderson holds the record as the grocery store. The first one to run a grocery store there was Mr. Walton who sold to A. Cooley in 1878, who sold to W. A. Swain and C. D. Gibson. They dissolved partnership in 1887 and W. A. Swain operated it until he sold to Lee Tharp (father of Roy and Fred) who resold it to A. Cooley from whom W. W. Anderson purchased it April 13, 1894.
