JOSEPH M. AND PAMELA WRIGHT GIBSON

Among the early settlers in Iowa were Joseph M. and Pamela Wright Gibson, Quakers, who came here in 1853 from Fredericktown, Ohio, settling on South Prairie. Eleven children were born to them, three dying in infancy. In 1877 they moved to West Liberty where they made their home until their deaths in 1892 at the ages of 87 and 85 respectively.

The descendants of Joseph and Pamela Gibson, unto the fourth and fifth generations, have lived and reared their families in West Liberty.
