DODGE CEMETERY
MONTPELIER TOWNSHIP
MUSCATINE COUNTY, IOWA

Building on the data from the WPA Graves Registration Project, that had been submitted by Dave Dunston, additional information was submitted by Paul and Judy Boles in June, 2008. They took some beautiful pictures of the existing markers at this little family cemetery that may be seen on the Iowa Gravestone Photo Project.

We learned that John Dodge acquired 160 acres of land located in the North East quarter of Section 17 in Township 77 N. of Range One East in the District of Sands from the Land Office in Burlington, in December 1841. When John died in 1889, his sons took over the management of the property until the early 1900’s when it was sold. To view the Probate record of John Dodge click here.
