These stern looking children of various ages comprised the West Oak School on June 14, 1901. The school was located just northwest, of the West Oak Greenhouse, north of Glenwood on Highway 275.

Pictured in the front row, with his arms crossed is Percy Rist. The third person in the second row is Clarice Rist. Wearing a white dress and standing on the far right is Mabel Rist Butterfield.
