Farm Creek School
(Anderson Township)

The Farm Creek School was located in the extreme southwest corner of Section 1, Range 40, Anderson Township.
  • Farm Creek Teachers:
    • Sam Pryce (1887)
    • Ina Freeman (September 1887)
    • Effie Maynes (1898)
    • Florine Donnelly (1899)
    • Ida Oliver (1901)
    • and Carrie Luther (1902)
    • Mrs. Belle Gowdy
Mrs. Belle Gowdy taught for sixteen consecutive years at Farm Creek School, until it closed in 1920. On July 1, 1920, the Farm Creek School was hit by lightning and burned to the ground.
