REBEKAH LODGE
Rebekah Lodge was instituted in Silver City on January 19, 1916, with the following charter members: Frank Pullman, Stella Pullman, William Pullman, Susie Pullman, Anna Pullman, Mary Ann Pullman,
Charles L.Hunt, Cora Hunt, A. Pullman, Lewis Hettinger, Alvena Hettinger, C.A. Moore, Anna Moore, Olive Pettit E.A. Stevens, Meda Stevens, Emma Pettit, C.W. Hammer, Cora Hammer, C.W. Sawyer, A.P.
Reeve, GA. Piatt, Dave Merk, Myrtle Merk and George Piatt.
Myrtle Merk and Cuma Peterson were 50-year members.
The Lodge closed March 1970, and joined Glenwood Woodland Rebekah Lodge No. 552.
On October 21, 1920, the ladies of the Rebekah Lodge held a meeting for the purpose of organizing a sewing circle. At this meeting officers were elected. This society will be known as Rebekah Circle.
Allie Humston was the first President.
When the Rebekah Lodge joined the Glenwood Lodge the name was changed to the Tuesday Circle. The meetings are held the first Tuesday of each month at respective members homes.
