Iowa City. Infantry. Son of Mr. & Mrs. Henry W. Schnare. Born June 4, 1893 in Union Township, Johnson County, where he spent his entire life. Entered service July 26, 1918. Died at sea, Oct 3, 1918.

No. 2 - Private Fred Seitz
Iowa City. 109th Engineers. Son of Mr. & Mrs. William Seitz. Born in 1898. Entered service April 23, 1917. Died at Camp Cody, N. M., January 26, 1918.

No. 3 - Private Win K Chabal
Solon. Infantry. Son of Mr. & Mrs. Joseph Chabal. Born Sept 24, 1893. Entered service July 26, 1918. Sailed for France Sept 23, 1918. Arrived at the port of St. Nazaire, France, October 6, and died there the following day, Oct 7, 1918.

No. 4 - Sergeant Roy Lewis Chopek
Iowa City. Supply Co., 7th Inf. Son of Mr. & Mrs. John W. Chopek. Born Aug 18, 1895. Entered service Jan 1, 1918. Sailed for France, and saw action on several fronts. Died at Andernoch on the Rhine, Dec 23, 1918.

No. 5 - Private Fred D. Dvorsky
Iowa City. Infantry. Son of Mr. & Mrs. Chas. A. Dvorsky. Born Feb 21, 1896, in Graham Township, where he spent all his life. Entered service July 26, 1918. Sailed for France Sept 26, 1918. Died of influenza while at sea, Oct 1, 1918.

No. 6 - Private Albert Otto BOgs
Iowa City. Infantry. Son of Mrs. Herman Bogs. Born Jan 21, 1891. Entered service July 26, 1918. Died at sea, Oct 4, 1918. 
No. 7 - Private Vernon Clayton Palmer
Kalona. Infantry. Son of Mr. & Mrs. J. L. Palmer. Born Feb 12, 1895. Entered service July 26, 1918. Died of influenza followed by pneumonia at Base Hospital at Camp Merritt, N. J., Sept 26, 1918.

No. 8 - Private Aetna C. Henderson
Oxford. Marine Corps. Son of Mr. & Mrs. C. L. Henderson. Born Feb 17, 1900. Entered service Aug 5, 1918. Died at Quantico, Va., Dec 22, 1918.

No. 9 - Private John R. Weno, Jr.
Iowa City. Infantry. Son of Mr. & Mrs. J. H. Weno. Born July 18, 1890. Entered service July 26, 1918. Sailed for France Sept 23, 1918. Died of pneumonia at St. Nazaire, France, Oct 25, 1918.

No. 10 - Seaman J. Justin Kelleher
Iowa City. U. S. Navy. Son of Mr. & Mrs. John Kelleher. Born June 1, 1898. Entered service Oct 1, 1918. Was enrolled in the College of Engineering, S.U.I. Died of pneumonia following influenza, at Iowa City, Oct 17, 1918.

No. 11 - Private Lester Lee Perrego
Iowa City. Infantry. Born Jan 28, 1891. Entered service July 26, 1918. Sailed for France September, 1918. Died in France of influenze and pneumonia.

No. 12 - Private Jacob J. Miller
Kalona. Medical Corps. Son of Mr. & Mrs. J. J. H. Miller. Born Oct 2, 1888. Entered service April 30, 1918. Died of influenza and pneumonia at Camp Dodge, Iowa, Oct 8, 1918.
