Solon. Co. H, 163rd Inf., 41st Div. Son of Mr & Mrs Joe Detert. Born May 28, 1888. Killed at battle of Soissons, July 28, 1918


No. 3 - Corporal Cloyde Elwin Adams
Iowa City. Co. A, 109th Engrs., later transferred to Infantry. Son of Mr & Mrs Ira C. Adams.Born Nov 29, 1899. Entered service April 1917. Died at S.U.I Hospital Oct 18, 1918.

No. 4 - Private Homer G. Roland
Iowa City. Quartermaster Corps. Son of Mr & Mrs. M. O. Roland. Born Dec 16, 1892. Entered service Dec 8, 1917. Sailed for France in March, 1918. Member of the staff of the "Stars and Stripes," official A.E.F. paper. Died at Base Hospital No. 4, France, Dec 24, 1918.

No. 5 - Private Clarence L. Hughes
Iowa City. Co. F, 313th Am. Tr., 88th Div. Son of Mr & Mrs Luke Hughes. Born April 28, 1891. Entered service june 27, 1918. Sailed for France August, 1918. Died in a Base Hospital in France Oct. 15, 1918.

Iowa City. Co. L, 349th Inf., 88th Div. Entered service May 28, 1918. Sailed for France Aug. 15, 1918. Died of pneumonia at Base Hospital No. 18, France, Dec. 11, 1918

Kalona. Co. D, 313th Am. Tr., 88th Div. Son of Mr & Mrs Carl Zager. Born Sept. 8, 1890. Entered service July, 1918. Sailed for France. Died at Claremont, France, Sept 30, 1918.
