Marriages.
CASE--JOHNSON--August 3d, 1869, at the residence of the bride’s mother, in Fairfield, by Rev. A. AXLINE, Mr. George H. CASE and Miss Clara JOHNSON, both of this county.
By the above it will be seen that our friend has now got the Case, which we stated last week he had not yet received,--it’s a possessive Case, to which of the two possession belongs is a matter of dispute--and ong [sic] may it so continue. For the kind remembrance of the "Ledger" men on the happy occasion, we tip our tiles. May their joys be plenty---their sorrows few.

Jefferson County, } September Term, 1869.
To BASIL McNEAL.
You are hereby that there is now on file [sic] in the office of the Clerk of the District Court of Jefferson county, Iowa, a petition of H. V. SHORT, claiming of you one hundred and fifty dollars as money due on damages for breaking a buggy, and for hire of team and buggy; and that unless you appear thereto and defend before noon of the second day of the next term of said District Court, to be begun on the first Monday of September 1869, default will be entered against you and judgment rendered thereon.

Arm Broken.--On Tuesday of last week, a little son of Mr. N. H. BROWN, of this city, fell off a fence, and alighting with his arm on the edge of a dull hatchet, broke it between the wrist and elbow. The little fellow is doing nicely.
