NOTICE OF ASSESSMENT FOR HARD-SURFACED ROADS

PRIMARY ROAD PAVING DISTRICT NO. 1

To all persons named in the following schedule as owners, to all occupants of real estate therein described, and to all lienholders and to all persons having any interest in said real estate.

You and each of you are hereby notified that there has been filed in the office of the County Auditor of Jefferson County, a report of the Board of Apportionment showing the special assessments proposed to be levied on all lots, parts and parcels of real estate included within Primary Road Paving District No. 1, the schedule of proposed said assessments being as follows, to-wit:

[Transcriber note: The Paving District takes in the four southeast townships in the county, those of Buchanan (Twp. 72, R. 9), Cedar (Twp. 71, R. 9), Lockridge (Twp. 72, R. 8), and Round Prairie (Twp. 71, R. 8). A search was made in the Ledger for similar assessments for other paving districts in the county, but none were found. It appears that lists were published but made available for viewing at the Courthouse only.]

And, further, that said report will come on for hearing before the Board of Supervisors at the Court House in Fairfield, Iowa, at Nine o'clock a. m., on Thursday, November 4th, 1926, at which hearing any of the apportionments may be increased, decreased, annulled or affirmed by the Board of Supervisors without further notice.

Any and all objections to said report or any part thereof affecting real-estate owned by you or which you may be the actual occupant or in which you have any interest must be specifically made in writing and filed with the County Auditor on or before noon of Wednesday, November 3rd, 1926, and a failure to so make and file such objections will be deemed a conclusive waiver of all such objections.
