PROUTY posted by Dondra Cameron on Tuesday, October 20, 1998
The Jasper Co. Historical Society sent me copies from a book of Jasper Co. history which covered just about all the years my ancestors lived in Newton. The puzzling item was, however, a story about A.T.PROUTY Jr. None of the descendents have ever mentioned him, and therefore none alive today ever heard of him. He appears to have gotten in a bit of trouble. Was he the son of Anson T. Prouty of Newton, Iowa. According to the 1850 Census, he may have died in Muscatine co in 1852. The Prouty's had a habit of omitting any references to anyone who was a bit of trouble so.

I am trying to find someone related to Joseph WEBB and exchange info. Joseph was the son of Jonathan WEBB,Sr. b. 1791/2 in Ireland probably Dublin area. His mother was Elizabeth MCHAUM (MCGOWAN) b. 1792/3 also in Ireland. Most of the siblings remained in Edwards, NY St. Lawrence Co. Three of his siblings "went West". Does anyone have a connection to Joseph WEBB? Nothing more know of him.
