COX posted by Cheri Kaplan on Tuesday, July 28, 1998
I am looking for Civil War information about my father's great grandfather. His name was Joseph COX, was a 'grey beard' and was supposedly from England. Any information on 'grey beards' would be helpful. I found 2 Joseph Cox's on a ship's registry, one a young man, and one older, but haven't found any other information about where the ships came from. Any information about how to trace that info would help too. Many thanks.
