Born: October 21, 1909 in Newton, Jasper Co., Iowa Zelma L. WilliamsZelma Leona Williams, 87, a resident of the Nelson Manor Nursing Home in Newton, died of heart failure Saturday, Jan. 4, at the nursing home. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Wallace-Pence Funeral Home in Newton with the Rev. Jerry Brown, senior pastor of the First United Methodist Church in Newton, officiating. Burial will be in Sugar Grove Cemetery in rural Newton. Friends may call at the funeral home today where the family will be present from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Memorials to the American Diabetes Association will be accepted. Born Oct. 21, 1909, in rural Newton, she was the daughter of Guy and Myra Brock Emmack. She graduated from Newton Senior High School. A lifelong resident of Newton, she was self-employed, washing and ironing clothes. She was also a member of the First United Methodist Church. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Maurice Lynn and Ann Williams of Conyers, Ga.; a daughter and son-in-law, Donita and Dale Milburn of Newton; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and a sister, Oleta Runyan of Monroe. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother,
