DIED -- May 21, 1891, after a lingering illness, Mrs. Katie Hodgins, aged 28 years. She was a long and patient sufferer, a good neighbor, and a kind and affectionate wife and mother. She leaves, besides a husband and three little children, many who will grieve that she was taken away so early in life. The funeral took place last Saturday and the body was laid to rest at the Metz cemetery, Rev. C. C. Harrah conducting the services. ~ Newton Journal, May 27, 1891.
