Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Trinty Catholic Church for Dr. Harold C. Aillaud, 80, of 3622 Davisson Road, who died at home sunday of a heart attack. Burial will be at St. Ambrose Cemetery.

Dr. Aillaud, a retired dentist, was born in Newton and was graduated from the University of Iowa Dental College. He practiced in Whittemore and Newton before moving to Des Moines 30 years ago. He was a member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Knights fo Columbus, American Legion Post 374, Elks Lodge 1270 in Newton, and the Iowa Dental Association. He was a Navy veteran of World War I and World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Frances.

A rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. today at the Caldwell-Brien-Robbins Funeral Home. ~ The Des Moines Register, Tuesday, December 6, 1977

Lenore Jean Skow

Lenore Jean Skow, 84, of Newton died Thursday, Oct. 14, 2004, in the Monarch Wing of Skiff Medical Center in Newton.

Memorial graveside services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Newton Union Cemetery. Pence-Reese Funeral Home in Newton is handling arrangements.

No visitation is planned. Memorials will be accepted in her name.

The daughter of William Louis and Violet Hazel (Wilson Guthrie) Aillaud, she was born Oct. 18, 1919, in Newton. She was a graduate of Newton Senior High School. On Feb. 19, 1942, she married Harold O. Skow at the Lutheran Church in Newton. She was owner of The Yarn Barn in Newton and a homemaker. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Newton, Theta Chi Sorotiey, past secretary of Iowa Women Golf Association for five years and a member of the Jasper County Historical Society. She enjoyed playing golf and was an artist, a painter and piano player.
