"Moffit another one of Jasper County's closed family cemeteries. It was located in Section 30 Netwon Township, Jasper County, Iowa, on Highway six west of Lambs Grove. This was a small plot approximately 15 rods square. It is believed there are possibly nine bodies at this location, however all the stones have been moved to Newton Union Cemetery.
"The spot is partially fenced, untended, no gate, no tombstones, no sign and no public access.
"Some of the persons buried at Moffitt were:

MOFFITT, Irena Arvpha 28 Oct 1832 - 24 Feb 1915
MOFFITT, Elias Barclay 07 Nov 1842 - 27 Feb 1915
Children of Steven and Mary Moffitt"
