"Little is known about Flock Cemetery. It was located in section 21 Independence Township, Jasper County, Iowa. This was in an open field that is farm ground. As far as we know there was just stone in the location. Many years ago the stone disappeared and the farming has continued.
In 1994 the stone was found in a barn on the property and brought to the attention of the Jasper County Cemetery Commission. The stone is in fair condition and hard to read, but we think it says:
FLOCK, Emila Daughter of J. & C. Flock died 13 Apr 1857 Aged 9y _m 19d
This would probably have been the child of John and Catherine Flock who are buried in Bethel Cemetery. The committee plans to place Emila's stone in Bethel Cemetery beside her parents."
