Located
Section 21, Green 78 Township, Range 9 about 2 miles east of old
town of Holbrook and 4 miles south.
History
Atlas of 1874 p. 7 shows it on the H.H. McArtor farm; The 1900 Atlas
page 9, on McArtor land, probably Joseph - there are a number of small
plots owned by McArtors; In the 1915 Atlas p. 29 it is not listed but
would be on the L. Zillmer land about 1 mile north of the little set-
tlement of Greene Center. In the history of 1915 Vol. I, page 185
mention that in Section 13 there is a burial ground, and one in Sec-
tion 21, which is called McArtor Cemetery.

In Book 2, Miscellaneous Records, of Iowa County Recorder on page 131;
Under McArtor Cemetery Association to the Public; Gives their place of
business as Greene Center. Dated November 3, 1892: Names listed:

and Washington Co. Iowa (Published 1972 by Mary A. Gingerich - Kalona Iowa.)
The Cemetery refer: McArtor page 229 (spelled as McCartor) A family cemetery
nine miles northwest of Wellman. It is located in Section 21, Green township
Iowa County; Lists a few Mennonites who are buried there- only.
