~ Harry Ittner ~

From Mrs. C. E. Hanna, Oskaloosa, IA

Report of Harry Ittner, aged 10 who came to Iowa in 1898.

"I can make a good report of Harry.  he is a big, stout, healthy boy, takes an interest in his studies at school and in his work at home, and is becoming quite helpful about the farm.  His conduct has generally been good, and he seems to like us very much, and we think a great deal of him, and we take him nearly everyplace we go.  He has had to be corrected like all children, and that is to be expected."

Harry writes, "I like to go to school, and I like to live on a farm and do chores, and I like to live with my guardians Uncle Clarence and Aunt Eunice.  This is all I can think of, so I will close, hoping that you will send me a long letter."
