Many Children Made Happy

There were twelve orphans from New York City, given to various families at Estherville and other nearby towns on Friday, a week ago. These children were taken to the court house where person, who wanted to adopt children, could see them. The youngest child in the group was two years old and the oldest, eleven.

Mr. and Mrs. George Swanson took the two-year-old baby. Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Fisher adopted two little brothers, aged four and six years. Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Stade, of Hunington, took a little boy aged eight. Dr. and Mrs. Wilson, of Estherville took a little bright-eyed girl, aged seven years. Mr. and Mrs. Claude E, Cobb adopted a girl aged thirteen. Mr. and Mrs. W. A. McLaughlin took a little boy aged five years. Mr. and Mrs. Chas. J. Berg of near Dunnel, Minn., took a boy nine years old. Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Anderson of near Wallingford also took a little boy. The children were all placed in excellent homes and many hearts made happy. The court room was crowded to the limit with spectators.
