Taken from The Sunday Enterprise, Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts May 14, 1989 ("Crossroads Teachers' Handbook January 2000). In the vast archives of The New England Home For Little Wanderers in Boston is a letter from one missionary who led a choir of five children and 34 adoption prospects to Burlington, Iowa in 1873. On this Trip, the agent was asked how much h e sold the children for. He explained the children were not for sale. The people were amazed.
