Under the direction of Mr. E. Trott, an agent from the Children's Aid Society of New York, a company of boys arrived in this place (Lansing) Friday afternoon, last. The object was to provide homes for these boys. They were taken to the City Hall where the work of distributing them was carried on by the committee of Messrs. Blum, McCormick, Rockwell, Healy and Nelson. In general the boys were bright, intelligent and all well behaved and well dressed. One little fellow, George Stevens, was ill and so patient, that Mrs. Steiber, at once selected him for adoption. One colored boy, McNear Addison, was selected by Mr. Schierholz; and the yougest boy, Braddock Black, was taken by Mrs. Bascom.
